Volunteers at St Peter’s
With so many schools working to address the needs of the wider community, volunteers have never played such a crucial role in education. From being a school governor to mentoring, to hearing children read, there are many ways to make a difference to young people’s lives. Volunteers can support school in variety of ways;
- Reading with children
- Supporting in the classroom
- Helping in the gardens
- Supporting with school trips
- Teaching skills such as chess and piano
- Teaching about charities
- Supporting children’s home language
We operate an equal opportunities policy when recruiting volunteers.
Volunteers can be any age or background; from parents to Grandparents, work experience, charities, local business, members of local religious groups, ex-pupils, participants in youth projects, retired and students. All volunteers have unique skills and qualities to offer.
